WasteAway is a locally owned junk removal company proudly serving Memphis and the surrounding areas. Our company was founded after experiencing firsthand how confusing and frustrating junk removal can be when you don’t know your options.
Our founder moved his family from South Dakota to Memphis and quickly ran into an unexpected problem—there wasn’t enough room in the U-Haul for everything. The landlord arranged a junk removal service to haul away the remaining items, and it was the first time realizing that professional junk removal was even an option.
After settling in Memphis, the issue became impossible to ignore. Piles of junk lined curbs throughout neighborhoods, often sitting for extended periods of time. During yard work and home renovations at our own property, we faced the same challenge. The city would not remove everything, and a notice was issued warning of potential fines if the debris wasn’t cleared.
Not long after, junk removal ads started appearing everywhere. That’s when the realization hit—this wasn’t a rare inconvenience. It was a widespread problem affecting homeowners, renters, landlords, and property managers across Memphis.
